Meet Our Staff

Jaclyn Brown- Executive Director

Jaclyn Brown is the ASPEN Network Inc. Executive Director, her role is unique and expands opportunities to connect with many exciting partners and projects. Jaclyn has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of resource navigation and project management. She is responsible for leading program development and project planning intiatives. Jaclyn finds working collaboratively with partners to be one of her most exciting functions. Jaclyn was previously the Community Services Manager with the Jefferson County Health Department where she oversaw multiple programs including the Jefferson County Health Network, Health Education and Environmental. Jaclyn’s passion to connect families to resources began when she was an Associate Director with the Jefferson Franklin Community Action, Head Start Program. Working alongside Head Start families drove her to find more efficient ways to connect families to the right resource at the right time and the eventual development of ASPEN. One of the most important components of ASPEN includes mental health screening tools and resources for students, school staff, first responders and health care workers. Jaclyn’s most treasured roles are being a parent of two children and the spouse of a Fire Chief, her love of family drives her passion to help bring quality resources to her community.

Heather Parmley-Program Specialist

Heather works to identify resources and maintain the robust ASPEN Resource Directory ensuring all resources are vetted and updated. She holds a unique background as a Medical Receptionist and customer service. Heather is currently working on obtaining her certification in
Trauma Informed Yoga Instruction. As a mom and spouse of a first responder Heather advocates for access to care and mental health resources. Heather is passionate about bringing ASPEN resources to our community.

Karen Murphy- Coordinator

Karen Murphy is the Saint Charles County Coordinator for Aspen Network Inc. In this position, her role is to add and maintain resources as well as relationships with providers. Karen graduated from Pattonville High School and studied at Lindenwood University. In a previous career, she worked with MERS/GOODWILL helping with the placement of mentally/physically handicapped individuals into jobs that would best fit them. Karen is the youngest of 9, a single mother of one, grandmother of 5, who enjoys spending her free time with her family and lifelong friends. Throughout Karen’s life experiences , she has witnessed firsthand a variety of learning disabilities and mental illnesses Karen believes that the resources offered with Aspen would have been extremely helpful to her in the past and is looking forward to helping the youth and first responders implement these resources.
